Bible Verse of the Day 3/23/25 "I AM"
Bible Verse of the Day
I haven’t written more than one BVD (Bible Verse of the Day) in the last several years. Last night I had a dream where a mentor from my childhood (who although at the time I didn’t have eyes to see he was a mentor and who passed away last year) through a conversation asked me why I wasn’t writing them anymore. I honestly did not have an answer. So here we are…..
13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”
Exodus 3:13-14
As I was reading these verses I was once again reminded of the power of God’s statement “I AM WHO I AM” and what it means. It is a complex statement, but simply it can be explained as follows.
The Hebrew word used here is "אֶהְיֶה" (ehyeh) which tells us of God's self-sufficiency, eternal existence, and immediate presence.
Read that again and let is sink in, not just in your head but in your heart.
God is all powerful
God has always been here in our past, in the present and in the future
And God is always right beside us no matter what life, the world and the enemy throws at us, waiting on us to lean in an let Him love and guide us through whatever it is we are facing.
I don’t know about you but I needed reminded of this today (and everyday).
Lean into the Father and let Him love and guide today!
In the Father’s love
Sam
