BVD 3/26/26 Keeping the Faith

Bible Verse of the Day

22 Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me? 23 Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all.”

                                                            Exodus 5:22-23

What had preceded this interchange between Moses and God; Moses following God’s lead went to the Pharaoh and asked for to take the Israelites into the desert for a few days to worship their Lord.  Pharaoh’s response was to quit giving them straw to make their daily brick quota (the Israelites were slaves) and when they couldn’t gather enough of their own straw meet the daily quota they were severely beaten.

As you can see in the exchange above Moses begins to doubt what he heard from God and his mission.   As the story unfolds this action of the Pharaoh was used in God’s greater plan to free His people from Egypt and bondage.

I think it is important for us to realize when we are called to follow the passions God places in our heart, the road is not typically easy. There are twists, turns, obstacles, and others that get in the way.   But as this story unfolds as it will in ours God’s will use these challenges to grow our faith and to show others without a shadow of doubt that the Author of all creation is still writing the story.

It is important to remember our vision is limited to what we see around us, God’s vision is limitless.

Stand firm in the faith He is always working.
